North Hunterdon Lions (Annandale, NJ) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Phillipsburg Stateliners (Phillipsburg, NJ), 7-2 in a league bout.

With the win, North Hunterdon moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Rutgers Prep (Somerset, NJ) to battle the Argonauts in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Argonauts go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

In their next game, the Stateliners battle the Voorhees Vikings (Glen Gardner, NJ) in a Skyland - Delaware West bout, on Saturday, September 16. Phillipsburg will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Rutgers Prep (Somerset, NJ).
