In Thursday's league contest, the Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) softball team overwhelmed the host Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA), by a margin of 6-0.

With the triumph, Franklin County moves its record to 14-1 on the year. The Lions travel to Elbert County (Elberton, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 16. The Blue Devils come into the contest with a record of 11-4. Elbert County lost 9-8 in their recent league contest against Commerce (Commerce, GA)

In their next game, the Indians play the Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) in a 3A Region 8 contest, on Tuesday, September 19. Stephens County will attempt to move on its 7-10 season record.
