Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO) and the visiting South Shelby Cardinals (Shelbina, MO), witnessed Monroe City's softball squad prevail over South Shelby by a count of 11-0.

The Panthers now sport a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Centralia for a non-league match on Monday, September 18.

With the loss, South Shelby moves to 3-6 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Palmyra (Palmyra, MO) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 19. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 2-4.
