The Pike County Pirates the visiting Peach County Trojans softball squad by a count of 4-2 in Thursday's league battle.
The Pirates (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Trojans go into the 3A Region 2 battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Peach County by Perry (Perry, GA), 12-2, in a non-league battle.
The Trojans now sport a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Pike County for a 3A Region 2 battle on Thursday, September 14. Peach County will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 2-2 league Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 7-7.
