The Winnetonka Griffins softball team scored 21 runs and limited the host Ruskin Golden Eagles to 6 in the Griffins non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Winnetonka moves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Griffins host St. Teresa's Academy (Kansas City, MO) to clash with the Stars in a non-league game on Monday, September 18. The Stars come into the game with a record of 4-11. St. Teresa's Academy lost 11-7 in their recent non-league game against Excelsior Springs (Excelsior Springs, MO)

In their next game, the Golden Eagles clash with the Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 19. Ruskin will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Blue Tigers go into the battle with a 0-5 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Raytown (Raytown, MO).
