The Ariton Purple Cats volleyball team scored 25 points and limited the visiting Abbeville Yellowjackets to 8 in the Purple Cats league victory on Thursday.

The Purple Cats now have a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Goshen for a non-league game on Monday, September 18. Ariton will meet a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Ashford (Ashford, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 2-11.

The Yellowjackets (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Slocomb (Slocomb, AL). The Red Tops enter the non-league game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Slocomb gained a win over Dale County (Midland City, AL), 3-0, in a league game.
