The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Van Buren Pointers (Van Buren, AR) and the host Alma Airedales (Alma, AR), saw Van Buren's volleyball squad beat Alma by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Van Buren upgrades its record to 8-13 on the year. The Pointers host Harrison (Harrison, AR) to play the Goblins in a 5A West bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Goblins go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Harrison won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Greenbrier (Greenbrier, AR)

The Airedales now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Gravette for a non-league bout on Monday, September 18. Alma will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Lincoln (Lincoln, AR). The Lions record now stands at 15-1.
