In Thursday's league contest, the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) volleyball squad nudged the host Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Titans battle the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) in a The Mountain 3A/4A contest, on Wednesday, September 20. McDowell will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record.
