The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Pike Liberal Arts Patriots (Troy, AL) and the host Goshen Eagles (Goshen, AL), saw Pike Liberal Arts's volleyball squad beat Goshen by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Pike Liberal Arts upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Patriots travel to Highland Home (Highland Home, AL) to play the Flying Squadron in a 2A Area 5 bout on Monday, September 18. The Flying Squadron go into the bout with a record of 2-3.

The Eagles now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Wicksburg for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. Goshen will play a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-5.
