In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Lord Botetourt Cavaliers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the James River Knights.
The Cavaliers (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA). The Bruins come into the non-league battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Blacksburg defeated Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Knights encounter the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a Three Rivers battle, on Tuesday, September 19. James River will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record.
