In Thursday's league battle, the host Lunenburg Central Chargers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Randolph-Henry Statesmen.
The Chargers (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Cougars come into the James River battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Nottoway defeated Cumberland (Cumberland, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Statesmen encounter the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 18. Randolph-Henry will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Generals come into the battle with a 0-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA).
