The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Waverly Central Tigers (Waverly, TN) and the host McEwen Warriors (McEwen, TN), saw Waverly Central's volleyball squad beat McEwen by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Waverly Central upgrades its record to 12-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to Kenwood (Clarksville, TN) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, September 18. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-8.

The Warriors now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Fairview for a non-league bout on Monday, September 18. McEwen will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Cheatham County Central (Ashland City, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-8.
