In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Shasta Wolves volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the University Prep Panthers.

The Wolves (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against University Prep (Redding, CA). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, University Prep edged Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. University Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA).
