Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the California Grizzlies (San Ramon, CA) and the visiting Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA), observed California's volleyball team top Granada by a tally of 2-0.

The Grizzlies (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mission San Jose (Fremont, CA). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Mission San Jose was beaten by American (Fremont, CA), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Matadors meet the Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) in a contest, on Tuesday, September 17. Granada will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Carondelet (Concord, CA).
