In Saturday's non-league match, the host Gretna Dragons softball team scored a nice 15-3 win over the Waverly Vikings.
The Dragons (22-0) will now prepare for their match against Blair (Blair, NE). The Bears come into the non-league match with a 14-4 record. In their last match, Blair notched a victory over Ralston (Ralston, NE), 8-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Vikings confront the Hastings Tigers (Hastings, NE) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 14. Waverly will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 11-2 record after their 11-7 non-league win over Lincoln Northwest (Lincoln, NE).
