Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad topple the host John Milledge Academy Trojans (Milledgeville, GA), 10-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Westfield School improves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Hornets host Brookstone (Columbus, GA) to play the Cougars in a GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 5 game on Tuesday, September 17. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 4-6. Brookstone lost 10-0 in their recent non-league game against First Presbyterian Day (Macon, GA)

The Trojans now hold a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Tattnall Square Academy for a GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 6 game on Tuesday, September 17. John Milledge Academy will play a Trojans squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to North Gwinnett (Suwanee, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 15-5.
