Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) and the host Charlevoix Rayders (Charlevoix, MI), observed Negaunee's volleyball team top Charlevoix by a count of 2-0.

The Miners (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Manistique (Manistique, MI). The Emeralds enter the Mid-Peninsula contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Manistique was knocked off by St.Ignace (St. Ignace, MI), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Rayders meet the Brimley Bays (Brimley, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. Charlevoix will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record. The Bays enter the contest with a 8-2 record after their 3-1 league loss to Newberry (Newberry, MI).
