The Ishpeming Hematites edged the visiting Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes volleyball squad by a final score of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Hematites face the Stephenson Eagles (Stephenson, MI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 14. Ishpeming will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 2-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to West Iron County (Iron River, MI).

The Lakes (10-7) will now prepare for their game against Ewen-Trout Creek (Ewen, MI). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 7-0 record. In their last game, Ewen-Trout Creek nudged L'Anse (L'Anse, MI), 3-1, in a non-league game.
