In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Petoskey Northmen volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Kingsley Stags.

The Northmen (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Sault Area (Sault St. Marie, MI). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Sault Area was nudged by Lake City (Lake City, MI), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Stags meet the Benzie Central Huskies (Benzonia, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. Kingsley will attempt to upgrade on its 18-4 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Brethren (Brethren, MI).
