Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting North Stafford Wolverines (Stafford, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Riverbend improves its record to 6-6 on the season. The Bears host Stafford (Falmouth, VA) to face the Indians in a Commonwealth test on Tuesday, September 17. The Indians go into the test with a record of 2-1. Stafford lost 3-0 in their recent league test against North Stafford (Stafford, VA)

The Wolverines now own a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jamestown for a non-league test on Saturday, September 14. North Stafford will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.
