The Topsail Pirates topped the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Pirates now have a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laney for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 20. Topsail will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-5.

The Screaming Eagle (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions enter the non-league challenge with a 11-3 record. In their last challenge, North Brunswick defeated South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
