The Cuthbertson Cavaliers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Porter Ridge Pirates to 1 in the Cavaliers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Cavaliers now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union Academy for a non-league game on Monday, September 19. Cuthbertson will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-4.

The Pirates (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks enter the non-league game with a 8-0 record. In their last game, Marvin Ridge nipped Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
