Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Belle Fourche Broncs (Belle Fourche, SD), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Scoopers face the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) in a Class AA challenge, on Tuesday, September 20. Sturgis Brown will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Douglas/Rapid City Christian (Box Elder, SD).

The Broncs now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Custer for a challenge on Thursday, September 22. Belle Fourche will face a Wildcats team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Hot Springs (Hot Springs, SD). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-5.
