Ohio High School Soccer - Valley nudges St. Joseph Central

Valley Indians (Lucasville, OH) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host St. Joseph Central Flyers (Ironton, OH), 5-4 in a league challenge.

Next, the Indians confront the Belpre Golden Eagles (Belpre, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 17. Valley will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH).

The Flyers now have a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Carter for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 19. St. Joseph Central will confront a Raiders team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Russell (Russell, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 7-5.
