The Islands Sharks softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting New Hampstead Phoenix to 0 in the Sharks league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Islands improves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Sharks host Burke County (Waynesboro, GA) to clash with the Bears in a 4A Region 3 game on Tuesday, September 20. The Bears come into the game with a record of 10-8. Burke County won 18-3 in their recent non-league game against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics (Hephzibah, GA)

In their next game, the Phoenix clash with the First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders (Hinesville, GA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 17. New Hampstead will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Highlanders come into the game with a 0-3 record after their 13-0 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Academy (Louisville, GA).
