The Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) volleyball nudged the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), 3-2 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Alleghany betters its record to 10-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to face the Granite Bears in a Northwest 1A outing on Tuesday, September 20. The Granite Bears go into the outing with a record of 7-3.

The Rams now sport a 6-5 record. They play next when they host North Wilkes for a non-league outing on Monday, September 19. Starmount will face a Vikings squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 7-5.
