In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Blacksburg Bruins volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Salem Spartans.

The Bruins (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Jefferson Forest went down by Glass (Lynchburg, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Spartans encounter the Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) in a River Ridge battle, on Tuesday, September 20. Salem will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 3-6 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Radford (Radford, VA).
