The Burns Bulldogs volleyball team (Lawndale, NC), went down 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC)

The Warriors (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams enter the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Highland Tech defeated Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge, on Tuesday, September 20. Burns will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Golden Lions enter the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC).
