The Central Rockets held off the visiting Cary-Grove Trojans volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's league test.

The Rockets now have a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bartlett for a non-league test on Saturday, September 17. Central will confront a Hawks team coming off a 2-0 league win over Aurora East (Aurora, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 10-6.

The Trojans (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Hampshire (Hampshire, IL). The Whip-Purs enter the Fox Valley test with a 11-11 record. In their last test, Hampshire was nudged by Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
