The Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Manual Arts Toilers to 2 in the Phoenix league victory on Thursday.

The Phoenix now have a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Adams for a Exposition game on Thursday, September 22.

The Toilers (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Santee (Los Angeles, CA). The Falcons enter the Exposition game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, Santee held off West Adams (Los Angeles, CA), 3-0, in a league game.
