The Kearney Bearcats volleyball team (Kearney, NE), lost 3-0 in Thursday's league battle with the host Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE)

The Islanders (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Gretna (Gretna, NE). The Dragons come into the non-league battle with a 10-2 record. In their last battle, Gretna achieved victory over Bellevue East (Bellevue, NE), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Bearcats clash with the Lincoln High Links (Lincoln, NE) in a A District battle, on Tuesday, September 20. Kearney will attempt to advance on its 6-7 season record. The Links come into the battle with a 6-7 record after their 2-0 league win over Benson (Omaha, NE).
