The Greenback Cherokees volleyball team (Greenback, TN), was nudged 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Oakdale Eagles (Oakdale, TN)

The Eagles (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Wartburg Central (Wartburg, TN). The Bulldogs enter the A District 3 challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Wartburg Central nipped Oliver Springs (Oliver Springs, TN), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cherokees meet the Harriman Blue Devils (Harriman, TN) in a A District 3 challenge, on Monday, September 19. Greenback will attempt to move on its 0-11 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 3-1 league win over Clarkrange (Clarkrange, TN).
