Rhode Island High School Volleyball - Middletown tips Pilgrim

Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI), 3-2 in a league match.

Next up, the Islanders clash with the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) in a Division 2 match, on Monday, September 19. Middletown will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings come into the match with a 0-2 record after their 3-2 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, RI).

With the loss, Pilgrim drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI) to clash with the Chieftains in a Division 2 match on Monday, September 19. The Chieftains come into the match with a record of 0-3. Ponaganset lost 3-0 in their recent league match against East Providence (East Providence, RI)
