In Friday's non-league match, the host South Colonels football squad scored a close 14-13 victory over the Grafton Gators.

In their next game, the Colonels clash with the Hudson Hawks (Hudson, MA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 22. South will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 35-13 non-league win over Dover-Sherborn (Dover, MA).

The Gators (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Algonquin Regional (Northborough, MA). The Titans enter the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Algonquin Regional was nudged by Hopkinton (Hopkinton, MA), 21-14, in a non-league match.
