The Marist Spartans (Eugene, OR) football nudged the visiting Mazama Vikings (Klamath Falls, OR), 33-29 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Stayton Eagles (Stayton, OR) in a 4A Special District 3 bout, on Friday, September 22. Marist will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 48-13 league loss to Junction City (Junction City, OR).
The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against North Bend (North Bend, OR). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Special District 4 bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, North Bend held off Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR), 49-36, in a league bout.
