In Friday's league game, the Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) football team smashed the visiting Saegertown Panthers (Saegertown, PA), by a score of 48-6.

The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Cochranton (Cochranton, PA). The Cardinals come into the District 10 Region 1 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Cochranton overwhelmed Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA), 62-8, in a league game.

The Panthers now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Union City for a non-league game on Friday, September 22. Saegertown will meet a Bears team coming off a 14-6 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA). The Bears record now stands at 2-2.
