In Friday's non-league game, the Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA) football team tipped the visiting North Scott Lancers (Eldridge, IA), by a final score of 31-24.
The Bobcats (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA). The Go-Hawks come into the 4A District 2 game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Waverly-Shell Rock was tipped by Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA), 28-25, in a non-league game.
The Lancers now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Burlington for a 4A District 3 game on Friday, September 22. North Scott will battle a Grayhounds team coming off a 42-7 non-league win over Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA). The Grayhounds record now stands at 2-2.
