In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting East Wake Academy Eagles soccer squad scored a close 5-0 win over the Southern Wake Academy Lions.

The Eagles (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC). The Phoenix go into the Super Six 1A/2A battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Raleigh Charter nipped South Granville (Creedmoor, NC), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
