Henry County Wildcats (New Castle, KY) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Gallatin County Wildcats (Warsaw, KY), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats confront the Holmes Bulldogs (Covington, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 19. Henry County will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 10-1 non-league win over St. Patrick (Maysville, KY).

The Wildcats now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carroll County for a District 31 challenge on Monday, September 18. Gallatin County will confront a Panthers team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 6-7.
