Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lincoln North Star Navigators (Lincoln, NE), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 20-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elkhorn South for a A District challenge on Tuesday, September 19. Gretna will battle a Storm squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Marian (Omaha, NE). The Storm record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Lincoln North Star falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Navigators travel to Millard South (Omaha, NE) to battle the Patriots in a A District challenge on Monday, September 18. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. Millard South lost 7-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE)
