Oklahoma High School Softball - Kansas can't get by Sperry

In Friday's league contest, the Sperry Pirates (Sperry, OK) softball team held off the host Kansas Comets (Kansas, OK), by a margin of 5-4.

With the triumph, Sperry moves its record to 15-14 on the year. The Pirates travel to Caney Valley (Ramona, OK) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Monday, September 18. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 9-20. Caney Valley lost 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK)

In their next game, the Comets play the Salina Wildcats (Salina, OK) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 19. Kansas will attempt to move on its 18-21 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 16-14 record after their 9-2 non-league win over Keys (Park Hill, OK).
