Sequoyah Eagles (Claremore, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Vinita Hornets (Vinita, OK), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 7-17 record.

With the loss, Vinita falls to 8-20 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Wyandotte (Wyandotte, OK) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 15. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 27-9. Wyandotte won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Ketchum (Ketchum, OK)
