The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX) and the host Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), saw Reedy's volleyball squad beat Newman Smith by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Reedy upgrades its record to 10-11 on the year. The Lions host Lone Star (Frisco, TX) to play the Rangers in a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 13-11. Lone Star lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Wakeland (Frisco, TX)

The Trojans now own a 4-15 record. They play next when they host The Colony for a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, September 19. Newman Smith will play a Cougars squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 10-15.
