In Monday's non-league challenge, the host West Springfield Spartans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Lake Braddock Bruins.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Fairfax (Fairfax, VA). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Fairfax was nudged by South County (Lorton, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bruins play the Robinson Rams (Fairfax, VA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 17. Lake Braddock will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 0-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA).
