The Monroe Vikings volleyball squad (North Hills, CA), was defeated 2-0 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA)

With the win, Poly upgrades its record to 4-0 on the year. The Parrots host Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA) to meet the Dons in a contest on Thursday, September 18. The Dons enter the contest with a record of 6-1. Verdugo Hills won 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA)

Next, the Vikings meet the Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) in a test, on Thursday, September 18. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Lancers go into the test with a 0-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA).
