Fans at Monday's league battle between the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) and the host Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC), saw Brevard's soccer squad hold off Franklin by a count of 4-3.

The Blue Devils (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights enter the Mountain Eight 4A/5A battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, North Henderson tipped Pisgah (Canton, NC), 1-0, in a league match.

The Panthers now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pisgah for a Mountain Eight 4A/5A match on Wednesday, September 17. Franklin will meet a Bears team coming off a 1-0 league loss to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 5-2.
