In Monday's league outing, the host Marvin Ridge Mavericks soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 win over the Cuthbertson Cavaliers.

The Mavericks (7-1) will now prepare for their outing against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers come into the Southern Carolina 6A/7A test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Piedmont by Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC), 9-0, in a league test.

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Porter Ridge for a Southern Carolina 6A/7A test on Wednesday, September 17. Cuthbertson will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 5-1 league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 10-0.
