With the triumph, Gray Stone Day advances its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Union Academy (Monroe, NC) to clash with the Cardinals in a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A test on Wednesday, September 17. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 10-2. Union Academy won 8-0 in their recent league outing against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC)

Next up, the Comets play the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, September 17. North Stanly will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the outing with a 2-3 record after their 9-3 league loss to North Rowan (Spencer, NC).
