Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) and the visiting Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY), saw Whitley County's soccer squad triumph over Middlesboro by a count of 10-2.

The Colonels (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY). The Mountaineers enter the District 49 battle with a 9-2 record.

Next up, the Yellowjackets battle the Barbourville Tigers (Barbourville, KY) in a District 50 match, on Tuesday, September 16. Middlesboro will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 1-6 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY).
