Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the visiting NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC), 6-3 in a league outing.

The Patriots (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats go into the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A outing with a 1-8 record. In their last outing, Sugar Creek Charter by Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC), 6-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Dragons confront the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A outing, on Thursday, September 18. NCSSM: Morganton will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Raptors come into the test with a 4-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC).
